Hi SLIIM,
There is no Blake Griffin on the draft classes, not in 2008,2009,2010,2011 and 2012.

So we are gonna miss out on Griffin entirely if we start an association before 2011.
I would like to start an association from an earlier period and play each season from then on wards, drafting players I like etc...
You know it's fun to start with a team that's suppose to finish in the last places, trade draft places from bottom teams at the end of January and rebuild the team with good rookies at the start of each season.. "The Process".

Another problem is the one I mentioned earlier in the forum, it's the contract issue, some players have multiyear contracts, but their salaries are set to 0 for the second and 3rd years. So their salaries become 0 from the second year on wards... Is it possible to solve it?

Last week I started an association on 2010 roster, fixed the salaries on the in game editor, played some matches and simmed the rest of the year, only to know that I'm gonna miss out on Griffin if I continue on this,[I thought Griffin will be on the 2010 draft as he wasn't already in the roster], It's disheartening you know..

Another doubt,is there any problem with using UBR draft classes for URB Mode?
I loaded UBR 2009 draft class and all the faces I looked matched with the players. I'm not 100 % sure as I don't know how the guys who are not so famous look like

I found audio bugs on many season rosters where players are called their number instead of their names. Hearing a lot of "Number 22" for McCray, "Number 9" for Majerle and "Dominique Wilkins" for Gerald Wilkins instead of just "Wilkins". Many classic teams/players that come with the default game with audio stories included (heard at thye free throw line) such as Pippen, MJ, Mourning, LJ, etc are lost.

Animation wise, special animations assigned to specific players, like LJ celebrating doing his "L" with his arms or the slow motion slam cam replay after a dunk from MJ are also gone from the game :(


Hope you guys can address that (Y)

Some day draft classes will be updated, not big update, just reviewed and fixed major problems + maybe ratings/tendencies.
Your issue with contracts is easy to fix but its a lot of work, not sure when i will be able to fix it. Just to be clear for all other users - all salaries are accurate with reality, for all rosters and all players. Game ruin it in asso mode. Another example why im not using asso mode at all.
I have no idea about UBR stuff. Im also not a big fan of mixing mods.

@sko and slimm I know both of you told before that no rookie would be included in the All-Time roster unless they have a spectacular or historical season. Thing is, I was thinking that if Joel Embiid who was a rookie last season made the cut, maybe Ben Simmons should be taken in consideration after putting up great numbers and leading the Sixers after Embiid went down. I know we can all add him ourselves if we want to, but I just thought he might deserve to be included even if just as a free agent. Not a Sixers fan or a Simmons fan, just can't ignore what the guy was doing lately. I'm still skeptic on asking you guys to include him, but if the Sixers do end up making a deep playoff run with Simmons being a key contributor, he might deserve some consideration. And please don't take this post the wrong way, I'm not telling you guys how to do your job or what to do with your roster. I'm just voicing out my opinion :cheeky:

There is no way to "assign" or "remove" those animations from the game. Celebration animations are triggered by shot animations or dunk/layup packages. Maybe in a prior 2K game LJ had that animation. Not in 2k14

The 1999 LJ does that animation. I just played a game with the 99 Knicks and he did it after hitting a three.

Do you have video of it? What about him would make him do that three? If you are familiar with Reditor, players only have a number of things unique to them in terms of animation. Animations don't trigger by "Name". So something, if it does exist, triggers that animation. If we don't know triggers it, we cant ask URB to turn it on, or off.

If original players are used (using the original LJ of the default roster position, instead of overwriting Gerlad Green's spot with LJ 's looks and stats, for example ) then animations and original audio stories are not lost. That is what the poster is reffering to.

URB overwrites the default order of things, and this makes for the loss of original audio and custom animations.

Sko and I have had the conversation about 2K13 vs 2K14. Overall, we agree that 2K13 is a better game. The animations are more realistic, and just overall it's more authentic.

2K13, 2K12, and 2K11 blow away 2K18 in feel and authenticity. Some may be fooled by realistic cyberfaces, and call the game more realistic, but anybody who knows the game of basketball (specifically the NBA) knows that those three games I just mentioned are far more NBA authentic than 2K18, the atmosphere is also far better.

i would even go as far as to say that they cyberfaces when it comes to skincolours are not that good in 2k18... the oversaturation of players might be based on certain broadcasts filters but i like the more natural skincolours..

I reloaded 2k11 about a week ago and I believe that it and 2k13 are my favorite basketball games of all time. We have made 2k14 a lot of fun, but 2k11 and 13 are better, IMO. The animations and AI in 2k11 were RIDICULOUS, especially for it's time.

What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

Either 2k11 or 2k13. 2k13 is my all-time favorite with the patching exe that is on NLSC, can't remember what it's called. The gameplay and animations were on point and all the plays (pretty much) worked. In 2k14, Horns plays and other plays where a pass is made to a big at the high post simply wouldn't make the pass. INFURIATING. 2k13 also had the play types where 2k11 only had 4 assignable plays per player.

To me, 2k13 with URB and that patching exe program is the most realistic basketball game ever.

What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player
