Patch for 08 Sim engine(v2.10 released 90% C bug solved)

sorry for my question....but...what program i can use to decode the simengine file extension .bin?...or my question is wrong?

second question... why in 08 there are a file simengine.bin in the folder 'tuning' and a file simengine.txt in the folder 'simengine' ?....in 07 there is only the second file....for this patch is important the file.bin only???

you can use hexprobe to edit .bin file

In 08, there are no big change if you delete the simengine.txt file or not, so I think only the simengine.bin is the key stuff. And for nba live series games, the .txt file do not change that much, so it is better do not to edit it.

here is my some few concern on the sim engine
Rebound per game should be higher ( D howard has 15reb per game ..)
Sometimes all point is focused on one person if i simulate
point guard has low reb avg ( Jason Kidd reb has to be around 7-8)
Center like Yao Ming is not getting enought point

other than that i am satisfied with the sim engine you made.

i think everyone likes your patch but it doesnt work for me still30+ ppg 8 players, tracy mcgrady asist leader 9.4, kidd rpg 1.2 i dont like this can you help me ?

you should download new one, the new one fix the PPG problems.

For assist, in my version, most assists are distributied by one special player, which is most likely from SG, PG positon, sometimes SF, I just can't control it for this moment, it may need more time to find some another code to solve this problems

For PG rebound, I can adjust it, but it will reduce the C/PF rebound when I increase the PG rebound. I can fix this when the 3 points prolbems is solved, because I can increase the 3 points percentage to the real, like 20%-30% total Attempt shoot, then do others adjust to increase the total rebounds to 43 rpg.


For my patch, if you compare with the real date, lots of sim date are not that real, because there are still several very important codes need to be found, like how to distribute the steal, how to share the block, how to reduce the SG assist, how to control the 3 points shoot percentage for each players(in 07, it depend by the roster, but 08 I do not find clue which is realated to)? However, for all of this it is so small vale that it is not easy to find the clue.

but I will keep to find more information for this patch.

I am still having a problem with the subbing of the 7,8,9,10 players on the depth chart. Will this patch address this issue or is there a special setting using DB commander that will fix this situation? I am trying to put together a legends roster and I have guys that don't play many games in a row.

thank you for the response you gave.. yes C's 3point has to be fixed first in order to fix all the other problem.....can't wait for you to relase it..is there also another sim engine in nbalive2006 just curious? o know both version has sim.txt but why nbalive2006 doesn't need simengine and nbalive2008 needs it ? is it that nbalive2006 has another secret file for simengine..

Just one thing, it has made the game harder for me, i am now 15-2 in my dynasty, but it is still a bit too easy for me. Has anyone else found this?

Also could it be because i play 4 minute quarters?
