College Slam is an arcade college basketball game published by Acclaim. Its gameplay is nearly identical to NBA Jam, on which it is based. It includes most major NCAA Division I colleges, however the University of Tennessee, the University of Notre Dame and Mississippi State University (who had just made a run to the Final Four that year) are notably absent. College Slam includes tournament, season and single game play.
The game ultimately did not enjoy the success of NBA Jam and could not be released outside of North America due to issues with international licensing rights.
