The NBA Live PC Project is a patching initiative in the NBA Live community, initially conceived to enhance NBA Live 06 in the absence of a PC version of NBA Live 09. It remains an ongoing project and a means of keeping NBA Live 06 up to date for users who still play it. The long term goals of the Project are to completely update NBA Live 06 including rosters and game art, as well as enhance the gameplay experience to the best of the community's abilities.

Development & Release[edit]

The idea for the NBA Live PC Project was conceived by JaoSming when the uncertain future of NBA Live on the PC platform was becoming apparent. With the announcement that NBA Live 09 would be a console-only release, further importance was placed on the Project. However, difficulty in co-ordinating the efforts of contributors and a heavy workload continued to push the project back. While in development three beta rosters for NBA Live PC were released for testing purposes, mainly to work out problems having been converted from the NLSC Current Roster Update for NBA Live 08.

A stable version of NBA Live PC was finally released on March 22nd, 2009. A second version was released in time for the Playoffs on April 19th, 2009. Further updates will either coincide with or closely follow/precede updates for NBA Live 2005, NBA Live 07 and NBA Live 08.
